- What should I wear?
You can wear whatever you like! We want our wedding to be a safe and welcoming celebration so wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and you can boogie in!
- Will I need an umbrella, jacket, etc?
You might! We’re hoping that the ceremony will be in the Gardens, but as we all know Scottish weather can change in an instant, and usually not for the better. Best to come prepared!
- Does the wedding have a theme?
We’re going for a coastal inspired theme! Centre displays, place settings, etc will all be loosely based around the sea and beach!
- What should I do if I can’t make it?
Please let us know as soon as possible, especially if you have already RSVP’d as attending 🙂
- Where should I park?
There is ample parking in the hotel grounds so don’t worry!
- Are children welcome?
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
- Can I bring a date/+1?
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
- Where can I stay the night?
The hotel offers rooms on the night of the wedding, there are also multiple B&Bs in and around St. Andrews. We will be putting on a coach returning to Dundee in the evening and there are plenty of hotels there too.
- Will food and drink be served at the reception?
For day guests there will be appetisers and drinks served after the ceremony and then a three-course sit-down meal after that. In the evening there will be a buffet.
- Are there vegetarian/vegan/gluten free/special diet options?
Of course! We want to accommodate everyone! If you have a special dietary requirement please let us know on your RSVP and we will let the hotel kitchen staff know ❤
- May I take a centrepiece/flowers home as a souvenir?
We will be using hurricane vases provided by the hotel so please don’t pinch these! Every day guest will have a place setting beach pebble with their name and the date on it to take home as their wedding favour!
- Can I take photos during the ceremony? Can I post to social media?
We have hired a wonderful photographer to capture all the best moments of our special day, and are asking that NO phones, cameras, ipads, etc be used during the ceremony. We also want to make the first posts to social media ourselves and would please ask that you refrain from posting ANYWHERE until after dinner. Thank you!
